Despite this, Ronaldo is still as eager as he was a generation later, if not more so. He is always pushing himself to be better, to fight biology, and to convert his detractors into his most ardent supporters.

Today, we’ll commemorate the superstar’s 36th year on the planet by looking back at the top five events that shaped his life.

Let’s get started without further ado.

Manchester United is back in action.

Cristiano Ronaldo has represented some of the most prestigious clubs throughout his career. Everyone on his team has treated him with the utmost deference and affection. Manchester United, his second club, holds a particular place in his heart.

Last summer, Ronaldo decided to switch shirts, after a fairly dismal tenure with Juventus. Manchester City was said to be interested in signing the superstar, but United couldn’t afford to lose their No. 7 to their crosstown rivals.

The 37-year-old returns to Old Trafford to considerable fanfare after agreeing to a deal.

In his first two appearances with the Red Devils, he scored three goals, including a double in his debut versus Newcastle United. Although his ferocity has decreased since then, the Portuguese are still the club’s top scorer for the season.

Failure to make the three-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or

For the first time since 2007, Cristiano Ronaldo struggled to make the three-man nomination for the prestigious individual award Ballon d’Or. With only 178 points, the five-time champion finished sixth in the 2021 Ballon d’Or rankings.

Lionel Messi, Ronaldo’s arch-rival, took first place with 613 points, winning his seventh Ballon d’Or in the process. Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich came in second with 580 votes, and Chelsea player Jorginho rounded out the top three with 460 points.

Karima Benzema, the Manchester United star’s former colleague, came in fourth place with 239 votes.

The Portugal captain was absent from the presentation ceremony, as predicted. But is expected to return with such a vengeance this year.

For the first time in history, a player has scored 20 or more league goals in each of the previous 12 seasons.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the epitome of modern-day football consistency. The playmaker has been scoring goals for his sides left, right, & center over the past year, and the pattern has continued.

On March 2021, the then-Juventus No.7 scored in a 3-0 win over Spezia as the Bianconeri strolled to victory. In 2020–21, he scored his 20th league goal, making him the very first player of all time to score 20 goals in each of the previous 12 seasons.

In the season finale of his first stay with Manchester United in 2008-09. He failed to reach the 20-goal mark for the first time.

This season, the Portuguese striker has scored eight goals in the Premier League. He requires at least 12 points in each of the remaining 16 league games to extend his incredible streak to 13 seasons.

In the history of the European Championships, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored the most goals.

The European Championship, sometimes known as the “EURO”, is the most important cup competition in top-flight football. Euro 2020, the most recent edition, was postponed owing to the pandemic and will be held in the summer of 2021.

Cristiano Ronaldo, hungry to establish his worth, made sense to mention his best foot forward.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to feature in five Euro finals competitions given name after the matchday squad against Hungary. He scored twice against the Hungarians to help Portugal to a 3-0 victory and bring his goalscoring to 11.

With the brace, he became not just the first player who scored in five European Championships. But also the tournament’s all-time leading scorer. The previous record was held by Michel Platini, who had nine goals at the EUROs.

So this was all for the day about Cristiano Ronaldo. Hope you enjoy the article.
